PLANNED - Jung Il Woo Malaysia 1st Year Gathering

Hello Jung Il Woo Malaysia fans,

I hope everyone is doing very good by now.

It is almost near to the end of 2012! How times flies... I remember the first time we met was the day before Jung Il Woo came to Malaysia for the launch with Holika Holika in Berjaya Times Square, and I bet all of you had so much time meeting Jung Il Woo. =)

January 27th is the day when we created our first Jung Il Woo Malaysia Fanclub in Twitter. We started off in Twitter page as I think we can gather more fans there as Twitter is a big platform for everyone now, especially in K-pop world. Days after that, we created this very little small blog page to post about Jung Il Woo's news (and we're still very lacking on that as we don't have enough admin).

So, we were thinking to have our 1st year gathering somewhere in January and our target is to find around 50 pax for the event. Planning are still in discussion and we just sent our proposal for some goodies and such... hope to hear a good news then... :)

Here's the details of the planned event. I hope that all Malaysia's Jung Il Woo fans will support this event... :)

Date: 26/01/13 (Saturday) or 27/01/13 (Sunday)

Venue: KL (TBC)

Time: Afternoon hi-tea 12:00pm onwards

Activities: Games, Lucky Draw, Eat, get to know each other (to be inform soon)

Charges: To be confirmed once we finalized the venue

We will be updating from time to time for this event and hope everyone can support this!

Due to that, we're looking for a designer who are good in designing logo for Jung Il Woo Malaysia, and we will be using this logo in the future for any kind of events. This designer will also be one of the admin for Jung Il Woo Malaysia.

[NEWS] Jung Il Woo Will Attend MAMA 2012 As A Presenter

Actor Jung Il Woo will be attending the biggest Asian music festival “2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards” (Aka 2012 MAMA), which will take place on November 30 in Hong Kong. He will be walking down the red carpet, and will go up on the MAMA stage as a presenter.

Jung Il Woo has recently received a lot of attention due to his huge success at the fan meeting. Even though it took place in Malaysia, approximately 3000 fans from all over the Asia, including Taiwan, Singapore and Dubai, gathered around to see him.  Jung Il Woo also showed off his popularity by having a quick sellout on his upcoming fan meeting in Taiwan in December.

In addition to Jung Il Woo, other big stars such as PSY, “Super Junior”, “Big Bang”, and “Sistar” will also be joining 2012 MAMA. With these big name celebrities’ participations, it is hoped that Korean popular culture will receive positive attention from all over the world.

2012 MAMA will take place in HKCEC (Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre) and will be broadcasted live on November 30.

I know this is very late to update in here. Very sorry as we were too busy with other commitment.

Anyhoo, here's how you can try to sign up and login to the website.

Firstly, go to www.jungilwoo.com and click on to the JOIN link on the far left corner (see above picture). 

Then, fill in the details that you wish to have for the website. Fill in the name (not more than 12 characters), your active email address, your desired password and check password if the password is  the same with the password that given earlier. (refer to picture below)

Once done, it will auto direct you to the login page (refer below photo) and login with the email and password that you've register, then click LOGIN. Taraaaa! That's it. It is easy as 1-2-3. ^^

We will update more on the contents inside the website for more.

A Date with Jung Il Woo and Holika Holika Malaysia

On 23rd September 2012, Jung Il Woo finally made his first appearance as an Holika Holika Ambassador in Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He flew in on the day earlier and spent a day in Berjaya Times Square LG Concourse area in meeting the fans and did the sign session for the lucky fans who purchased the Holika Holika product.

Total estimated crowd attended during the day was almost 3,000 pax, full with Jung Il Woo’s fans who wished to see him up close.

Jung Il Woo, who is famous in drama e.g High Kick, 49 Days, Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, and the latest most hit drama, The Moon that Embraces The Sun, role played as Prince Yang Myung, captured the fans heart with his kind charm and lovely smile, not just locally, but also to fans who came all the way from Dubai, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and others.

During the interview session, he was questioned on how long has he been taking care of his skin, and he jokingly answered “비밀” (secret).  Jung il Woo also were asked on how he took care of his skin and he mentioned that clean your face daily is a must and using the Holika Holika famous Egg Soap helps him a lot too.

Before the event ended, fans sang the birthday song to Jung Il Woo who celebrated his birthday on last September  9, making him felt touched and happy with the fans thought. Fans sang him the birthday song in 3 different languages, Korean, English and Malay.

Jung Il Woo also spent his time to visit the Holika Holika outlet in Berjaya Times Square and did pose for a few photos at the outlet.

Jung Il Woo also mentioned that he will start making a new drama next year, so fans can anticipate his acting in the new drama.

Actor Jung Il-woo has become the new face of LG’s line of smartphones, “Optimus LTE2.”

The new generation of smartphones will be available in stores through three telecommunications networks, starting mid-May.

Jung’s versatility as an actor was taken into account by the electronics company in deciding to recruit him.
LG said that it chose Jung as the face of the new phone because, “He has played a diverse range of roles and excelled in them all.”

Jung has starred in programs such as the period drama “The Moon Embracing the Sun” (2012) and the sitcom “High Kick without Reserve” (2007).

Of late, Jung has garnered attention for becoming the male model for the cosmetics brand Holika Holika.

Turn up the music Mr. DJ! Jung Il Woo has recently been chosen as a model for Doritos. He is the first celebrity to represent the brand in South Korea. The Doritos brand in South Korea is a joint effort between Lotte Confectionery and PepsiCo, Inc.

Jung Il Woo filmed a commercial for Doritos where he portrays a DJ. The concept was to capture the energetic atmosphere of a club and the energy of DJ Jung Il Woo. During breaks Jung Il Woo practiced the basics of DJing that he had learned for the advertisement.

A representative of Doritos stated, “Jung Il Woo has pursued acting in different roles and his fan base is very diverse. That is the reason why we decided to choose him to represent us.”

Jung Il Woo left for China on May 8 to appear on a popular talk show.

[News] Jung Il Woo Invited to 'Korea-Japan Friendship Fiesta'

Actor Jung Il Woo, who had appeared in the popular drama "The Moon Embracing the Sun" by playing Yang Myeong, was invited to the 4th Korea-Japan Friendship Festa that will be held at Shibuya Public Hall in Tokyo on April 8.

The non-profit organization, Japan-Korea Cultural Exchange Council (http://www.japankorea.org), has held the Korea-Japan Friendship Festa, which has the theme of Korean historical dramas, every year in April since 2008. And it has become one of the major cultural exchange and charity events in Japan with the appearances of popular Korean actors: Choi Soo Jong from the dramas "Dae Jo Young" and "Emperor of the Sea;" Song Il Kook from the dramas "Prince of the Legend" and "The Kingdom of the Wind;" and Kim Nam Gil from the drama "The Great Queen Seondeok."

In addition, the group Monday Kiz will perform a live concert, and the Japanese Chamber Orchestra called Baradan will hold a performance during this year's event to create a festive mood.

[News] Jung Il Woo to Appear in 2 Make Up Brand Commercials

Currently Jung Il Woo is extremely popular for appearing on "Moon That Embraces The Sun." Coinciding with that popularity, Jung Il Woo will be the model for two different make up brands. (The two brands are under Enprani)

The company usually only hired female models, but the hired Jung Il Woo this time around for his smooth and sensual charms. Also, the company is considering going overseas (outside South Korea) and believes that his popularity overseas also will help.

As Enprani representative stated, "Jung Il Woo has a soft gentleman image. He also has whiter and clearer skin than most women. We believe that the popularity for 'Moon that Embraces The Sun' will not go away anytime soon, we are anticipating that Jung Il Woo will do a lot for our brands."

Jung Il Woo will begin the filming for the makeup commercials after 'Moon That Embraces The Sun' finishes its broadcast in March.
